Typical Properties of A-PET Film
Recycled Thermoforming Grade
Description
- Polyethylene terephthalate or PET(E) is a plastic resin and a form of polyester that is formed by combining two monomers called modified ethylene glycol and purified terephthalic acid. PET is designated by the #1 code on or near the bottom of plastic bottles and containers and is commonly used to package soft drinks, water, juices, peanut butter, salad dressings and oil, cosmetics and household cleaners. PET is available as an FDA-Approved resin and can be used for any number of direct food-contact packaging applications. PET is also a popular plastic for non-food products. Customers like PET plastic for their packaging products because of its strength, thermo-stability and clarity. In addition it is inexpensive, lightweight, resealable, shatter-resistant and recyclable.
